Adding a new role
To add a new role, proceed as follows:
- Select the icon, located at the top right-hand corner of Role management.
- The Role information dialog will then open.
- Enter a Role name, a Description for the role and optionally a Comment.
- There are also additional settings you can configure for a role. These include:
- Role preference: Displays the Administrator checkbox used to determine whether a role includes administrator privileges.
- Resources: Used to include various Servers and Reports that have been included in the octoplant pro hub. At least one resource is required.
- Reports: Displays the checkboxes Edit and Monitoring Center, which can be used to determine whether users with this role can edit reports and/or can access the Monitoring Center.
- System configuration:Â Used to specify a role’s View and Edit permissions for User management, Role management, Server management, and Dataset management.
- Select Save new role.
- The new role is added to the Role managementmodule.
