KB-126765: Executing scripts

Executing scripts

Scripts and script applications are not active all the time. They are first triggered when the requisite action occurs on the server or on the client.

Note

In the following workflow, scripts and script applications are summarized under the term scripts.

Fig: Integration scripting

  1. A user carries out an action (for example, Check-In on the server or on the client)
  2. Before and after octoplant carries out an action, the system checks if there is a script for this event
  3. The script interface is generated
  4. An interface file is created that contains information about the component affected by the operation.
  5. The script is started
  6. The scripting commands are executed. When this occurs, information is taken from the interface file.
  7. If the script does not return an error, the operation continues.
