Comparing result types
The graph in report Job statistics is based on predefined result types. Every result type is shown as individual segment in the diagram. The following result types are shown by default:
Equal | Latest Backup and latest version are the same | |
---|---|---|
Not compared | Newest Backup and latest version not compared | |
Different | Newest Backup and latest version are different | |
Error | Errors have occurred when comparing the newest Backup and latest Version | |
Not present | Job result not present(new jobs and jobs for which it was not possible to carry out a compare because there was no compare partner available.) |
Additional information about the Current state of the compare results can be displayed in the pie chart by configuring additional result types. The compare result types Equal and Not compared, indicate the number of jobs that were not executed for more than n days. n can specified according to your needs. For example: If the result type Equal is set to 7, then all Equal results that are older than 7 days will no longer be displayed. The data allows for the currentness of the backup to be assessed.
The result types Different and Error indicate how many days (n) it has been since is a compare result changed. n can specified according to your needs. For example: If the result type Error is set to 10, then all Error compare results of this type that are older than 10 days will be displayed. The displayed data indicates whether detected changes to device programs are being investigated promptly.
In the Configure Charts dialog, it is possible to configure the time interval for specific compare results. In that same dialog, it is possible to determine which compare results are displayed in the chart. In the chart, each compare result type is represented by its own section. The Configure charts dialog can be found in the Job statistics report menu.
The following settings are possible:
Equal (since n days) | Equal stands for jobs that have not been executed n number of day | |
---|---|---|
Not compared (since n days) | Not compared stands for jobs that have not been executed for n number of days | |
Different (longer than n days) | Different stands for jobs that have not changed for more than n number of days | |
Error (longer than n days) | Error stands for jobs that have not changed for n number of day |
Note
The additional settings only impact the compare results that are displayed in the pie chart. In the line graph, the
history of the compare results is displayed. The following result types are shown: Equal, Not compared, Different, Error, and Not present.
