Error message during job execution

If a job is not working, we recommend that you refer to the Event log. This can be found in the AdminClient and UserClient.

Start the AdminClient,open the Jobs module and select the defective job. Click on Event log in the ribbon or right-click on the selected job in Job results. If the event log shows the error message “This program has been PROTECTED from user access!…”, this means that the option Allow Future Access has not been activated in the RSLogix 500 project.

If you do not have any access rights to the AdminClient, open the UserClient and then go to Jobs and select the job located under Job results. Click on Event log in the ribbon or right-click on the selected job in Job results.

How to activate the option Allow Future Access:

1. Open the project in RSLogix 500 Pro.
2. Double-click on Controller properties.
3. Open the Compiler tab.
4. Activate Allow Future Access..Image: Dialog Controller Properties, Compiler tab
5. Save the changes.
6. Download the newest version onto the device.
7. Start the job.
