Standard solutions for securing data
You have the option to secure and compare all available data formats on the KUKA KR C4 Robots.

You have the following possibilities to save a KRC4 project:
- With automatic data backup for KUKA KR C4 computers, the backup generates files with the extension ASZ. The actuality of the project generated by the robot is checked via timestamp. See image: Standard solutions for securing data
- If you create WVS projects with the WorkVisual editor, you will receive files with the extension WVS (manual backup via editor or creation from an ASZ file via editor).
- You can obtain ZIP projects with the file extension ZIP by archiving them on the robot or by calling them up via the SmartPad.

Please note that: If the error message No Workvisual5 or Projectextractor.exe exists appears, a new installation of WorkVisual V5 will be required and with it a new installation of MS SQL and .NET Framework. If the error message “The backup was created >X< days ago” appears, it will be necessary to check the time stamp and the workflow on the KUKA KR C4 robot. If this error message occurs, no backup will be created. If you need the backup to produce an older version, you will need to adjust the job configuration of the job.
