Changing a user’s password

For passwords, certain rules can be specified by the administrator, for example, a minimum number of characters or whether it must contain upper-case letters or numbers. More detailed information about setting the rules can be found in the Account policies section.

To change a user’s password, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the User details tab.
  2. Select the option Change password.
  3. The dialog Change password will open.

  5. Enter the new password twice in the two fields.

  6. The function for displaying passwords in plain text can be activated or deactivated on a system-specific basis. When it is activated, you will see the eye icon at the right edge of the fields.
  7. Confirm by clicking on OK.
  8. A confirmation of the password change will be displayed. The next time you log in to the client, you will need to enter the new password.

Users without administrator rights can change their password in the UserClient.
