MITSUBISHI MELSOFT GX Works2
MELSOFT GX Works is the engineering software for FX, L and Q Series devices. It is part of the iQ Works suite, but can be bought and used separately.
Note
octoplant supports GX Works2 as well as GX Works3. The instructions in this tutorial refer to GX
Works2 only, GX Works3 will be covered in a separate tutorial.

| Other requirements
- The MasterService or UploadAgent must not be executed using the system account, but using a user account.
- For the comparison, the installation of a MELSOFT GX Works editor is mandatory.
- All editors from version 1.507D are supported.
- octoplant only supports GXWorks projects with the project type structured project. The project type Simple project is not supported, as it cannot be exported into the Mitsubishi Editor. The project type can be selected when a new project is created.
