Microsoft Excel: restoring documentation
With octoplant’s version and backup comparison, you can determine whether the documentation corresponds to the latest checked in version. If the job result shows a change, unwanted changes may have been made.
There are two ways in to perform documentation recovery for Microsoft Excel.
Restoring using a version
- Start the UserClient.
- Select the component of the project you wish to restore.
- Check-out the version of the component that you want to restore.
- Open the project with the Excel Editor.
Restoring using a backup
- In UserClient, select the component.
- In Component details, go to Jobs and click on the job that you want to use to restore the backup.
- Select the backup by either right-clicking on it or selecting it and then going to the ribbon and clicking on Copy backup to directory.
- Select the directory that you want to copy the backup to.
- Open the backup with the Excel Editor.
