Setting up an upload

The upload cannot work when the octoplantMasterService is being executed by the local system user. This service needs to be carried out using the administrator account or an account that has administrator rights.

Check under which account the MasterService is running and, if necessary, change this:

  1. Open Services from Windows.
    • Click on the Start button -> Windows Control Panel -> Administration and then open Services.
    • Click on Ctrl + R and enter services.msc.

  3. To change the account, right-click on MasterService and select Properties.
  4. Open the tab Log On. Select the option This account.RSLogix5000_3rd Party_RSLogix5000_Communications_Download.pngImage: Properties of<service>, Login tab
  5. Enter the account’s name and password.
  6. Click on OK.
  7. In Services, click on MasterService and finally click on Restart to execute the service with the new settings.
  8. Run the backup job.
