Comparator configuration
Note
In Scalance projects, you can exclude defined variables from the comparison. A comparator configuration was developed for this purpose. You can adapt dynamically to conditions with the help of the wildcard “*” (free text field).
Proceed as follows:
- Open the UserClient.
- Select the components that you want to modify.
- Select the Edit tab in the menu bar or select Edit component configuration from the context menu (right mouse button).
- Click on Comparator configuration. Then the selection dialog Comparison configuration will then open.
- If there are several projects in one component, select the corresponding project from the dropdown menu.

Under Exclude lines from comparison, enter the variable then click on OK.

In Component configuration, click on Apply.
Note
You can only execute the comparator configuration if a corresponding file (ASCII) has already been stored in the component. The exact file extension depends on the component type comparator configuration.
