Analyzing files

You can use the File Detective (found in the Tools module) to move files into an archive in the system. The system analyzes the files and provides you with information about the file, file type, file ending, and path to the file. In addition, it also helps you to choose the most suitable comparator in octoplant.

File Detective helps you to save time and money by analyzing project data and recommending the right comparator within seconds. This, in turn, helps you to easily integrate new component types into octoplant.

The files are not saved in the system. However, they can be saved as CSV files.

1. Click on Select file for analysis.
2. In your file system, select a file and open it. If you select a ZIP file, all files contained within that file will be analyzed.
3. Information about the file will be displayed in the Analysis result section.
