If a component has been selected in the project tree, the tag will always be added to the newest server version. If a directory is selected in the Project tree, the tag will then be added to the latest server version of all child components.

A tag can only be assigned to one version of a component at a time. If you attempt to add the same tag to another version of the same component, a dialog will appear asking if you want to move it to another version. However, a tag can be assigned to versions of different components simultaneously. It is also possible to add multiple tags to a single version.

If the tag does not yet exist, it can also be recreated using the Add button.

  1. In the Project tree or Component overview or component details, select an element to which you want to assign a tag.
  2. Then click on Add.
  3. The dialog Select tag to add will then open.
  4. Then click on Create new.
  5. The dialog Create tag will then open.
  6. Enter a name for the new tag.

Note

  1. Each tag name may only appear once in the server archive.
  1. To create a tag and add it to an element selected, click on Create and add.
