Integrating robots
Integrating existing projects
If a project or a backup archive already exits, proceed as follows:
- In the UserClient, create a new component. Select the component type KUKA KRC from the folder KUKA.
- In Windows Explorer, go to the folder in which theKUKA.WorkVisual project is saved.
- Move the KUKA.WorkVisualproject into the working directory of the component.
Note
In the project tree, drag-and-drop the KUKA.WorkVisualproject onto the component.
- In the project tree of the UserClient, select the KUKA KRC component and click on Create base version and Check-In.
Your KUKA KR C4 robot is now integrated into versiondog and can be managed within versiondog.
How to integrate projects when no project data is available
You can still execute jobs and create backups for KUKA KR C4 robots even if no project data has been checked in. To do so, proceed as follows:
- In the UserClient, create a new component. Select the component type KUKA KRC from the folder KUKA.
- In the UserClient, select the KUKA KRC component in the project tree and click on Check-In without base version.
- Create and execute the job.
- In the UserClient, go to the component. In Jobs, select a backup. Click on Copy backup to directory and copy the backup into the working directory.
- Create a Base version.
Note
The component type, KUKA KRC, can be modified to suit your individual needs. For more information, see the Component
type editor section, located in the AdminClient tutorial.
