Creating jobs
In versiondog, it is possible to execute jobs according to a schedule. You can use jobs to certify whether the program running on a device is the same as the most recently checked in version on the server.
Creating jobs for ABB Freelance projects
- Start the AdminClient and open the Jobs module.
- Select an ABB Freelance component in the Project tree.
- In the menu tab, click on Create or drag-and-drop the components into the Jobs area.
- Check if the upload type ABBÂ Freelance is being displayed in the Job configuration area.
- Configure the general sections General, Notification, Upload and compare, Create a version automatically after job run. The Notification and Create a version automatically after job run sections are displayed only if the required settings have been made.
- Configure the section ABB Freelance settings.
- If a component contains multiple program files (*.pro), the project that you want to use can be selected. If only one program file is present in a component, this will be selected automatically.
- Access to the device is gained via the path PC->[TCP/IP]->SPS.
- Save the job and execute it.
Note
The job result (backup) is not suitable for disaster recovery.
