Restoring data

Requirements

• The server archive data has been backed up.
• The Server system was rebuilt after the failure to the extent that the versiondogServer can be installed. The current versiondog system has been uninstalled and is no longer available.
• The user, who restores the backup, must have administrator rights on the server system.

Restoring data

1. Restore the backed up data to thevdServerArchivedirectory. If there is a remote archive, copy them to the vdServerArchivedirectory of the remote share.
2. Install the versiondog Server applications using theSetup.exefile from the versiondog Setup directory. During installation, select the Server with existing server archive option to include the backed-up server archive.
