Creating jobs
The versiondog system offers the possibility to create jobs that periodically check whether the Omron Sysmac project on the shared network path or the local path corresponds to the last checked-in version. It also checks to see whether it is necessary to copy a new Omron Sysmac Studio project to the server.
Note
Only general Job configuration settings are described here.
To configure a job for a Omron Sysmac Studio device in versiondog, undertake the following steps:
- Start the AdminClient and open the Jobs module.
- In the Project tree, select the Sysmac Studio component.
- In the Home tab, click on Create or drag-and-drop the components into the Jobs section.
- Check in the section Job configuration, if the upload type Sysmac Studio is being displayed.
- Make sure the desired settings are in place for the following sections: General, Notification, Upload and compare, and Create a version automatically after job run. The Notification and Create a version automatically after job run sections are only displayed if the necessary settings have been implemented.
- In Omron Sysmac Studio Settings, select the Omron Sysmac Studio project for which the job is to be executed from the Project dropdown menu if you have several projects.
