Configuring comparisons

You can configure the comparator for AVEVA InTouch so that it can be used with all components. This can also be done specifically for certain components. Prerequisite for this is that the corresponding component contains a valid project.

1. Start the UserClient.
2. Select the component you want and right-click on it. The context menu will then open. Select Edit component configuration or enter Alt+ENTER on the keyboard.

3. In Component configuration, click on Comparator configuration. The dialog Comparison configuration will then open.

6. In the dropdown menu Project, select your project. If you select the entry Standard , the configuration applies to all components for which there is no separate configuration.
7. Using the checkbox Exclude initial values from “Tag name Dictionary” if retentive, specify whether you want the initial values of the tag name dictionary to be compared.
8. Using the checkbox Exclude access management, specify whether you want access management to be excluded from the comparison.
9. Confirm your entries by selecting OK and then select Apply in the Component properties dialog to save the configuration.
