Configuring comparators
Note
In Hirschmann projects, you can exclude defined tags and properties from the comparison if this may be necessary.
Proceed as follows:
- Open the UserClient.
- Select the components that you want to modify.
- Select the Edit tab in the menu bar or select Edit component configuration from the context menu (right mouse button).
- Select Comparator configuration. Then the selection dialog Comparison configuration will then open.
- If there are several projects in one component, select the corresponding project from the dropdown menu.
- Under File structure, select the green plus sign
or right-click in the empty field. The Add tag dialog will then open. Under Tag settings, enter the Tag name and then activate the option Exclude from comparison. - Deactivate the checkbox if you want to enter properties under Exclude properties. Select OK. 1.1.
1. Select the 
button to import the XML file structure. Note that importing the XML file structure will delete the current configuration. - Select the Apply button to save the configuration.
Note
You can only execute the comparator configuration if a corresponding file (XML, ASCII or both) has already been stored in the component. The exact file extension depends on the component type comparator configuration.
