Editing reports

With the appropriate access rights, you can edit predefined as well as custom reports and save them as custom reports. If you have little or no experience with creating new reports with Microsoft Power BI, we recommend that you edit a predefined report and save it as a copy.

Note

You can cancel editing mode at any time by selecting the Cancel edit entry from the dropdown menu .

How to edit a report

To edit a report, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the report you wish to edit.
  2. Select , located at the top-right corner. A dropdown menu will then appear.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. The Edit function in octoplant pro hub uses Microsoft Power BI to provide a data visualization and business intelligence. There is the option to add additional filters, visualizations, fields and other customizations as required.
  5. Make your changes as required.
  6. To save your changes, select the Save menu entry from the File menu in the top-left corner of the report.

Symbol_note_pinned.png You cannot modify and save predefined reports directly, you can only create a copy of them and save it under Custom Reports. In this case, the File menu contains only the Save as entry.

Note

If you are not satisfied with the changes you have made to a report, you can reset the report by selecting the Reset_Report_Icon.png icon in the top-right corner of the report.

  1. Your report has now been updated.
  2. Select located at the top-right corner, then Exit edit mode from the dropdown menu.
