Integrating switches
Integrating existing projects
If a project or a backup version of the device program is already present, proceed as follows:
- Create a new component in the UserClient. Set your component type to Stratix Switch (in the folder Allen Bradley).
- In Windows Explorer, go to the directory in which your Allen-Bradley Stratix project is stored.
- Move the project data into the working directory of the component.
Note
To do this, drag-and-drop the project data onto the component in the project tree.
- In the project tree of the UserClient, select the Stratix Switch component and click on Create base version and Check-In.
Your Allen-Bradley Stratix project is now integrated into octoplant and can be managed within octoplant.
Integrate projects when project data is not available
You can still execute jobs and create backups for Allen-Bradley Stratix Switches, even if no project data has been checked in. Proceed as follows:
- Create a new component in the UserClient. Set your component type to Stratix Switch (in the folder Allen Bradley).
- In the project tree of the UserClient, select the Allen-Bradley Stratix component and click on Check-In without base version.
- Create and execute the job.
- Open UserClientand go to the component.
- Create a base version.
Note
You can customize the component type Stratix Switch.
