Integrating existing projects
- Create a new component in the UserClient. Select MELSOFT GX Works in the Mitsubishi directory as the component type.
- In the Windows Explorer, go to your MELSOFT GX Works project file (GXW).
- Copy the MELSOFT GX Works project from the source folder to the component’s working directory. To do this, drag and drop the project file on the MELSOFT GX Works component in the project tree.
- Return to the MELSOFT GX Works component in the UserClient and select Create base version and Check-in.
The MELSOFT GX Works project is now integrated into and can be managed by octoplant.
Integrating new projects
- Create a new component**in the UserClient. Select MELSOFT GX Works in the Mitsubishi** directory as the component type.
- Open the MELSOFT GX Works editor.
- Create a new project and save it in the folder of the MELSOFT GX Works component that you just created
- Return to the MELSOFT GX Works component in the UserClient and select Create base version and Check-in.
The MELSOFT GX Works project is now integrated into and can be managed by octoplant.
Note
You can customize the MELSOFT GX Works component type in the AdminClient, Component type editor module.
Note
If the Error 101 occurs on a 64-bit Windows operating system, this may be because the GXWorks application is a 32-bit application. If you receive an error message, proceed as follows:
Uninstall the program on<drive>
:Program Files (x86)MELSOFT and reinstall it on<drive>
:MELSOFT. Now your project can be edited again.
