Monitors and states
A monitor is used to supervise one or more properties of a device. For each monitor, there is a list of the supervised properties and a condition, which together determine the monitor state.
The monitor data in not real-time information. The source data is obtained using octoplant jobs. Monitors use the data from the last executed job. If no job was executed yet, no data can be analysed and displayed by the monitor.
The following monitor states exist:
OK
Alarm
Unknown (Cannot be analysed)
Disabled
The state of each monitor of a device is displayed in the report Factory Floor Status – Device overview in the field Status. The following states exist:
OK
No monitor supervising this device is reporting an alarm
Alarm
At least one monitor supervising this device is reporting an alarm
