Integrating projects
Integrating existing projects
If a project or a backup version of the device program is already present, proceed as follows:
- Create a new component in the UserClient. Select FL Switch in the Phoenix Contact directory as the component type.
- In Windows Explorer, go to the folder where your Phoenix FL project is stored.
- Move the project data into the working directory of the component.
Note
To do this, drag and drop the project data onto the component in the project tree.
- In the project tree of the UserClient, select the Phoenix FL component and click on Create base version and Check-In.
Your PHOENIX CONTACT FL SWITCH project is now integrated into octoplant and can be managed within octoplant.
Creating new components
You can still execute jobs and create backups for PHOENIX CONTACT FL SWITCH, even if no project data has been checked in. Proceed as follows:
- Create a new component in the UserClient. Select FL Switch in the Phoenix Contact directory as the component type.
- In the project tree of the UserClient, select the Phoenix FL component and click on Create base version and Check-In.
- Create and execute the job.
- Open the UserClient and go to the component. In the Jobs tab, select the backup that you want and click on Copy backup to directory. Then copy the backup into the working directory.
- Create a base version.
Note
The component type, FL Switch, can be modified to suit your individual needs. For more information, see the
Component type editor section, located in the AdminClient tutorial.
