Language selection

The clients are available to customers in several languages. octoplant is currently available in German, Chinese, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Spanish and Czech.

Note

The language of the BackupClient is configured directly in the application itself and is independent of this.

To change the language used in the client, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the Extras tab.
  2. In the Settings menu, you will find the drop-down option * *<Language>**.

  1. Select from the drop-down list the language that you want to appear in the user interface.
  2. The message Change language will appear and indicate to the user that the application will need to be restarted to change the language.
    • If you want to change the language immediately, click on Restart now.
    • Or if you want to change the language at a later date and continue to use the current language, click on Restart later.

As soon as the UserClient has been restarted, your selected language will be implemented.

If you then start one of the other clients, its user interface and messages will also be displayed in the language you selected.

Alternatively, you can also change the language in the Client Settings dialog. The application will need to be restarted to change the language.

You can change the language used in the server messages by going to the Global settings module located in the AdminClient.
