Integrating existing projects

To version with  SIMATIC WinCC, a project or backup is always required. Proceed as follows:

1. Create a new component in the UserClient. Set your component type as WinCC (which you will find in the Siemens > HMI-Software folder structure).
2. In Windows Explorer, go to the folder where your WinCC project is stored.
3. Copy the data into the component’s working directory.
4. In the UserClient, select the WinCC components in the project tree and check the checkbox Create and Check-In the base version.

The data of your WinCC projects are now integrated and can managed by versiondog.

Integrating new projects

1. Create a new component in the UserClient. Set your component type as WinCC (which you will find in the Siemens > HMI-Software folder structure).
2. Open your WinCC editor.
3. Create a new project and enter the path to the WinCC components in the project assistant.
4. Go to the WinCC components in UserClient and click on Create base version and Check-In.
