OPC UA Server

The OPC UA Server provides data from several versiondog servers via OPC UA in IT/OT environments. This enables standardized multi-server reporting, enabling you to take more informed decisions.

The integration of theversiondog OPC UA Serveralso reduces the manual effort required for administrating several versiondog servers. The time saving is therefore even bigger than before.

The following two scenarios are possible when using a versiondog OPC UA Server:

Scenario 1: The OPC UA Server can connect directly to the versiondog servers

If theOPC UA Serverhas a direct connection, it will connect to every versiondog server and export the data. The exported data is imported directly into the OPC UA Server.

Scenario 2: The OPC UA Server cannot connect directly to the versiondog servers

If the OPC UA Serverdoes not have a direct connection to the versiondog server, the data will be exported from every versiondog server using the ExportModule. This data is then stored on a central file server. The OPC UA Server can access this central storage location and import the data from the versiondog servers, even if these are located at different sites.

If a new export is performed, the OPC UA Serverwill recognize this immediately and import the new data.Image: Integration OPC UA Server, Scenario 2
