Directories

In versiondog components are managed in directories, similar to a file system.

Creating a directory

1. In the Project tree, select a directory or directly the client archive where you want to create a subdirectory.
2. Carry out one of the following functions:
   • Press F7.
   • Open the Project tree dropdown menu and then select the New directory entry.
   • Right-click on the directory selected and then select in the context menu the New directory entry.
3. A new directory will now be shown in the Project tree.
4. Give the newly-created directory a name.

Deleting a directory

You can only delete a directory in the EasyClient locally; it is not deleted on the server.

1. In the Project tree, select the directory you want to delete.
2. Carry out one of the following functions:
   • Press F7.
   • Open the Project tree dropdown menu and then select Delete.
   • Right-click on the directory selected and then select the option Delete.

3. The Delete directory dialog will appear.

6. If the directory contains components, these will be displayed in the dialog and deleted locally together with the directory when confirmed.

9. You can use a checkbox to specify whether the working directories of the components should also be deleted locally.
10. Confirm by clicking on Delete.
11. The directory will now be deleted locally.
