EasyClient
By using EasyClient, you can carry out the following basic functions in versiondog:
- Create components as well as check them out from the server
- Edit project data in the components
- Create new versions of components and then check these in onto server
The user interface of the EasyClient guides you intuitively through these steps.
All functions you can perform in the EasyClient are also available in the UserClient. The UserClient also offers many other functions, such as version comparison options, job results display, quicksaves, component (s) tagging, etc. The advantage of using EasyClient is that it is limited to the basic functions. The application will guide you through these steps.
You can use the
button in the top right corner of the user interface to switch directly to the UserClient without having to log in again.
Note
The versiondog clients are closed automatically under the following circumstances:
- No user activity after two hours
- If the client has been open for 48 hours, regardless of whether there is user activity during that time.
- When the MasterService is restarted whilst the client is still open.
This is however not a technical problem. To use the client again, you just need to log in again.
