Information on working with safety controls

To work with a safety controller, you need to meet two requirements:

  1. Use PC Worx Safety as the component type. Do not use the PC WORX component type for projects that will run a safety controller.PhCo_PC_WORX_UC_Component_Settings.png1.Image: Dialog Create new component, PC Worx Safety
  2. In PC Worx, open your project, go to the Global_Variables of the project and set the property**PDD (Project Data Directory) for the following 4 variables**:

- SPNS_PROJECT_CRC
- SPNS_PROJECT_NAME
- PLC_CRC_PRJ_RAM
- PLC_CRC_PRJ_SRC

Note

If these requirements are met, you will be able to use versiondog ‘s upload and compare functions the

same way as with a PC WORX project. You can therefore use all the other chapters of this tutorial for safety controllers.

After you made changes to the SafetyProg, load the program sources of the mwt project to the controller. If you do not do this, there will be a checksum error.
