Integrating projects

To create versions of Rockwell FactoryTalk View, a project or backup of the device program is always required.

Integrating existing projects

1. In the UserClient, create a New component. Select the component type Factory Talk View, in the Rockwell directory.
2. In Windows Explorer, go to the folder where the APA archive is saved.
3. Move the data into the component’s working directory.

1. In the Project tree of the UserClient, select the FactoryTalk view component and click on Create base version and Check-In.

The data of your FactoryTalk View project is now integrated into versiondog and can be managed by versiondog.

Integrating new projects

1. In the UserClient, create a New component. Select the component type Factory Talk View, in the Rockwell directory.
2. Open the FactoryTalk View Studio. Create a new project. After editing your project, close it.
3. Open yourUserClient and copy the project as an APA file into the working directory of your versiondog project.
4. Select the FactoryTalk View component and click on Create base version and Check-In.
