Integrating existing projects

If a project or a backup version of the device program already exits, proceed as follows:

1. Create a component in the UserClient. Set your component type as Scalance (which you will find in the Siemens folder).
2. In Windows Explorer, go to the folder where your SCALANCE project is stored.
3. Move the project file into the working directory of the component.

1. In the project tree of the UserClient, select the SCALANCE component and click on Create base version and Check-In.

Your SCALANCE project is now integrated into versiondog and can be managed within versiondog.

Integrating projects when no project data is available

If there is no project data available from which a base version could be created, you can still create a component by creating a job. You can then create a base version of the backup on the versiondog server for this job.

To do this, proceed as follows:

1. Create a component in the UserClient. Set your component type as Scalance (which you will find in the Siemens folder).
2. In the project tree of the UserClient, select the SCALANCE component and click on Check-In without base version.
3. Create and execute job.
4. In the UserClientselect the corresponding component. In the tab Jobs select the backup, click on Copy backup to directory and copy the backup to the working directory.
5. Create a new version.
