Restoring projects

By using the versiondog version/ backup comparison, you can determine whether the tightening system (System 3xx) project at hand corresponds to the latest checked-in version on the server. If the job results are different, changes must have been made.

There are options at your disposal if you want to restore a tightening system (system 3xx) in versiondog.

Restoring from a version

1. In UserClient, select the component Schraubsystem (System 3xx) that you wish to restore.
2. Check-Out the version of the component that you want to restore.
3. Open the project with the corresponding Editor.
4. Carry out a restore according to the vendor’s instructions.

Restoration from a backup

1. In UserClient, select the component Schraubsystem (System 3xx) that you wish to restore.
2. In Component details, go to Jobs and click on the job that you want to use to restore the backup.
3. Select the backup by either right-clicking on it OR selecting it and then going to the ribbon and clicking on Copy backup to directory.
4. Select the directory that you want to copy the backup to.
5. Open the project with the corresponding Editor.
6. Carry out a restore according to the vendor’s instructions.
