Executing jobs

Requirements:

  • Jobs for execution using the BackupClient are available and synchronized from the server to the BackupClient.
  • The automation device, that you want to be backed up, is connected to the BackupClient.

To execute a job, take the following steps:

  1. Open the BackupClient and log on local. !!! note As a requisite for a local login, you will also need to once log onto the server using the same user account. 1. Image: Login Dialog, Login Local 1. The project tree shows all components for which jobs have been created for execution using BackupClient. All existing jobs of the selected components are displayed in the job table.

  2. Select one or more jobs that you want to execute.

  3. If you want to display job progress information directly when you run the job, click on the Show progress information button. Subsequently, you can view this information by clicking on the Event log button.
  4. In the tab, click on Execute selected jobs once.
  5. The job or jobs are executed.
  6. If the execution was successful, a backup will be created.
  7. When the job is selected in the job table, the results of the job execution are displayed in the job results table.
