Integrating projects

Requirement

To create a version of an existing MOVITOOLS® MotionStudio project, you will always need a project or a backup of the device program.

Integrating existing MOVITOOLS® MotionStudio projects

1. Create a new component in UserClient. Select the component type SEW MotionStudio, which you will find in the SEW folder.
2. In Windows Explorer, go to the folder where your MOVITOOLS® MotionStudio project is stored.
3. Move the data files into the working directory of the component. To do this, drag and drop the project data onto the component in the project tree.
4. In the UserClient project tree, select the SEW MotionStudio component and click on Create base version and Check-in.

The data from your MOVITOOLS® MotionStudio project is now integrated into and can be managed by versiondog.

Creating new MOVITOOLS® MotionStudio project

1. Create a new component in UserClient. Select the component type SEW MotionStudio, which you will find in the SEW folder.
2. Open the MOVITOOLS® MotionStudio.
3. Create a new project and save it in the SEW MotionStudio component you just created.
4. Go to the SEW MotionStudio component in the UserClient and click on Create base version and Check-In.The new MOVITOOLS® MotionStudio project now has been integrated into and can be managed by versiondog.
