Changing the component type of a component
- In the Project tree, select the component that you want to modify.
- Open the Edit tab.
- Click on Edit component configuration.
- Select the new component type from the list.
- If you want to swap the data of your component to a network share, enter the path to the network share in the Working directory window.
- Check the checkbox Multi-user editing. This is located under Component settings.
- To save all changes, click on Apply.
Note
You must create a new version and check it in so that the component type modification is reflected on the server. If this is not done, this change remains only locally on your PC. After Check-In, other users must check out the component to see the new component type.
