Updating clients via the Setup.exe file

1. Open the versiondog client setup directory and execute the fileSetup.exe.
2. The installation wizard will then be started.
3. Select a language version. German and English are currently available.
4. On the welcome page of the setup wizard, click on Next.
5. Then select Install versiondog applications and click on Next.
6. Select I agree and click on NextIf you do not agree to the license terms, the installation will not continue.

7. Then select Install client applications and click on Next.

10. A message will be displayed indicating that client applications are already installed on this system. Then click on Update to carry out the update for the client applications.

11. In the next dialog box, select from the following options:

14. Options:
    1. BackupClient
15. The BackupClient is used to make backups for automation devices that can only be accessed by the versiondog system. For more information, see the tutorial BackupClient.
16. This option is available at no extra cost. If you now install BackupClient but never use it on this PC, this will have no negative effects. It is always possible to install the BackupClient at a later date.

17. The BackupClient cannot be installed on the machine on which the versiondog server is running.

18. The update will be carried out.

19. After the server has been successfully updated, click on Finish to close the wizard.
