KB-133103: Creating a connection between the Asset Inventory Service and versiondog

Creating a connection between the Asset Inventory Service and versiondog

In order to create a connection between the Asset Inventory Service and versiondog, you will need to implement the following settings in the AdminClient under Global settings, in the tab Asset Inventory Service:

  1. In the section Server settings, enter the IP of the CTD server in question.
  2. In the section Environment variables, select the checkbox Use Environment Variables to start ClarotyConnect.exe.
  3. In the section Server address, enter the IP of the CTD server in question.
  4. Click the Retrievebutton to get an access token.
  5. The dialog Retrieve Web Token will now open.
  6. Enter your user name and password for the CTD server in the dialog fields and then confirm by clicking on OK.
  7. The token will be displayed in the field Access token.

Alternatively, you can create a script by using Scripting to integrate the Asset Inventory Service. The script and installation instructions for it are available on request from our support team.

In the UserClient, you will find a link for each component that you can use to open it in the Asset Inventory Service.

  1. Select the component in the Project tree in the UserClient.
  2. Open the section Component details, the tab Details.
  3. The link is displayed above the master data.
