Configuring the IPC

The following section demonstrates how you can configure**TwinCAT V2.x with TwinCAT System Control on the IPC on which you want to carry out an upload. You will require a remote connection** between the IPC and the versiondog server.

1. Start TwinCAT System Control.
2. Right-click on the AMS Router icon.
3. Record the AMS Net ID of the local computer (you need this for Job configuration).
4. In the Remote computer dialog, click on Add.
5. Enter the data in the following fields:Name: Choose a descriptive name for the connection (for example, versiondog + device name).AMS Net ID: Enter the AMS Net ID that you entered in your Agentstation.ini file.IP address: Enter the IP address of the computer on which the versiondog server is running OR the computer on which the agent is installed.Transport: In the dropdown menu, select TCP/IP and click on OK.
6. Close the application and restart the computer, so that the changes are recognized by the TwinCAT runtime.
7. Start upthe TwinCAT PLC Control.
8. Go to Online and select Choose runtime system.
9. Check whether the connection to versiondog is listed here.
10. Note down the runtime number. You need this number for Job configuration.
11. Repeat these steps for each TwinCAT device.
