KB-133140: The TwinCAT System Manager installed on the versiondog server

The TwinCAT System Manager installed on the versiondog server

Check whether all requirements are met. The C:TwinCATPlcLib directory and its contents need to have been created on the versiondog server during the TwinCAT installation. If, for any reason, this did not happen, copy the data from the IPC and paste it in the aforementioned directory, located on the same computer on which your versiondog server is running.

You will need to assign an AMS Net ID to your versiondog server so that it can communicate with the TwinCAT software.

Assigning an AMS Net ID to your versiondog server

  1. Create a newAgentStation.inifile (if this file is not present) on the same computer on which the versiondog server is running, in the following directory:<vdServerArchive> VD$AConfigurationUpload.
  2. Add theAgentStation.inifile to the [TwinCAT] section. Then enter the key 5370 and the AMS Net ID (for example, 10.255.50.142.10.10). (This value must stand for your versiondog server. We recommend that you use the AMS Net ID of your IPC. However, we advise that you replace the last two digits with .10.10 if this AMS Net ID has not yet been used.)

For example:

[TwinCAT]5370=10.255.50.142.10.10
