KB-133175: Integrating projects

Integrating projects

Due to the structure of FANUC CNC projects we recommend that you use three separate components to manage project data. To do so, proceed as follows:

Integrating existing projects

  1. In the UserClient, create a new directory with 3 components, one for PMC data, one for CNC data and one for the SRAM backup. Select the component type FANUC CNC (in the folder FANUC) for each component (see image below). !!! note It is recommended to create a separate job for each component.

  2. In Windows Explorer, go to the folder where your FANUC CNC project is stored.

  3. Copy the LAD files from the FANUC CNC project into the working directory of the component containing the PMC files. Leave the components containing the SRAM backup and the CNC data empty.
  4. In the UserClient, select the component containing the PMC data and click on Create base version and Check-In.
  5. In the UserClient, create components for the SRAM backup and the CNC data and click on Check-In without base version.

Integrating new projects

  1. In the UserClient, create a new directory with 3 components, one for PMC data, one for CNC data and one for the SRAM backup. Select the component type FANUC CNC (in the folder FANUC) for each component (see image below). !!! note

It is recommended that you create a separate job for each component.

  2. Open FANUC LADDER-III.

  3. Configure the compile options for your FANUC project. Go to Tool -> Option -> Compile.
  4. Create a new project and save project data in the corresponding FANUC CNC component (as described above).
  5. Make sure to always include the MCARD file when you save the project data.
  6. In the project tree of the UserClient, select the FANUC CNC directory and select Create base version and Check-In.
