KB-133200: Microsoft Excel: restoring documentation

Microsoft Excel: restoring documentation

With versiondog’s version and backup comparison, you can determine whether the documentation corresponds to the latest checked in version. If the job result shows a change, unwanted changes may have been made.

There are two ways in to perform documentation recovery for Microsoft Excel.

Restoring using a version

  1. Start the UserClient.
  2. Select the component of the project you wish to restore.
  3. Check-out the version of the component that you want to restore.
  4. Open the project with the Excel Editor.

Restoring using a backup

  1. In UserClient, select the component.
  2. In Component details, go to Jobs and click on the job that you want to use to restore the backup.
  3. Select the backup by either right-clicking on it or selecting it and then going to the ribbon and clicking on Copy backup to directory.
  4. Select the directory that you want to copy the backup to.
  5. Open the backup with the Excel Editor.
