Configuring comparators

In SICK projects, there are variables that are always different. This means that you will have to exclude these variables from the comparison to keep the version and backup equal. A comparator configuration was developed for this purpose. You can adapt dynamically to these conditions with the help of the wildcard * (free text field).

Example: The variables @QuickstartInventoryVar/Tags/0/EPC/13, @QuickstartInventoryVar/Tags/0/EPC/14, and @QuickstartInventoryVar/Tags/0/EPC/15 are excluded from the comparison by the @QuickstartInventoryVar* tag in the Comparator configuration in the UserClient.

Proceed as follows:

1. Open the UserClient.
2. Select the components that you want to modify.
3. Select the Edit tab in the menu bar or select Edit component configuration from the context menu (right mouse button).
4. Click on Comparator configuration. Then the selection dialog Comparison configuration will open.
5. If there are several projects in one component, select the corresponding project from the dropdown menu.
6. Under Exclude lines from comparison, enter @QuickstartInventoryVar* then click on OK.1. Image: Comparison configuration
