The videos on SIEMENSÂ TIAÂ Portal, originally created for the software versiondog, are also applicable to octoplant. Use
the following instructions that refer to octoplant for the videos of versiondog.
Important general requirements (jobs will fail if these are not fulfilled)
Checksum compare only – for all S7 PLCSs with TIA Portal 13 SP1 or later
Station upload – the recommended upload option for S7-1500 PLCs with TIA Portal 15.1 onward
Software upload
The only option if you want a restorable backup in the following cases: – The jobs are for S7-300/400/1200 PLCs (you will need TIA Portal 13 SP1 or later) – The jobs are for S7-1500 PLCs and you have TIA Portal 13 SP1 or later, but a version that is older than 15.1
