Integrating projects

Note that it is not possible to make versions of V2._and V3._projects in a CODESYS component at the same time.
Note
Encrypted CODESYS projects cannot be integrated.
Integrating existing CODESYS projects
To create a version of a CODESYS project, you will always need a project or a back up of the device program. Proceed as follows:
- Create a new component in the UserClient. Select the component type CODESYS, which you will find in the 3S folder.
- In Windows Explorer, go to the folder where your CODESYS project is stored.
- Move the data files into the working directory of the component.
Note
To do this, copy the project data into the component in the project tree.
- In the project tree of the UserClient, select the CODESYS component and select Create base version and Check-In.
The data from your CODESYSÂ project is now integrated and can be managed by versiondog.
Integrating new projects
- Create a new component in the UserClient. Select the component type CODESYS, which you will find in the 3S folder.
- Open the CODESYSÂ Editor.
- Create a new project and save it in the component you just created.
- Go to the CODESYS component in UserClient and select Create base version and Check-In.The new CODESYS project now has been integrated into and can be managed by versiondog.
