Microsoft Word comparator
Prerequisite for a comparison of the documents is a licensed installation of Microsoft Word on the versiondog server or a versiondog agent. The comparator for Microsoft Word is integrated in the Word and Documentationcomponents.
Note
If you want to save only Word documents in your component, the Word component is recommended. When saving documents
created with different editors, the Documentation component is recommended because it has integrated binary, ASCII, Excel, PDF and Word comparators.
If you want to create the Word component, you will find it in the Microsoft directory.
If you want to create the Documentation component, you can find it in the _Universal directory.
Note
The comparator of the Word and Documentation components supports the file formats doc, doc?, dot,
dot?, and rtf. The question mark ? stands for all possible endings of the respective file format.
