Creating jobs

In versiondog, you have the option to execute jobs according to a schedule. These check as to whether a program matches the last checked in on the device or whether the newest version has been implemented on the device. In addition to this, you can create jobs that produce a backup of a device.

How to configure jobs for KISTLER DMF-P and maXYmos process monitors:

1. Start the AdminClient and open the Jobs module.
2. In the Project tree, select the Kistler component.
3. In the menu tab, select Create or drag and drop the component into the Jobs section.
4. Check in the section Job configuration, if the upload type Kistler is being displayed.
5. Make sure the desired settings are in place for the following sections: General, Notification, Upload and compare, Create a version automatically after job run. The Notification and Create a version automatically after job run sections are only displayed if the necessary settings have been implemented.
6. Configure the section Kistler settings:
   1. In Device, enter the IP address or name of the device.
   2. Under User and Password, enter the necessary access data.
   3. Select the device class DMF-P * or maXYmosTL/NC under Type.
   4. For the DMF-P* device class, you can make the following settings:
      1. Under Sensor X and Sensor Y, select the appropriate sensors for your device.
      2. Under Display setting, select whether you want the display Standard or Special (Notebook 16/9).
      3. Under Fieldbus, select the right network for accessing the device.
      4. Check or deactivate the checkbox Create delivery note for the backup and enter, if necessary, a comment for the delivery note.
   5. For the maXYmosTL/NC device class, you can make the following settings:
      1. Adjust the access port under Port if necessary. Port 22 is selected as default.
7. Configure the section File specifications and compare settings.

1. Here, you can adjust the comparison for the job.
   1. Activate the Enable custom configuration for this job checkbox.
   2. Select the Edit button.
   3. The dialog Settings for backup files will then open.

1. Save the job and then test it by selecting the Execute selected jobs once button.
