Configuring the comparator
In PHOENIX CONTACT MGUARD projects, you can exclude defined variables from the comparison.
- Open the UserClient.
- Select the component you want to configure.
- Select the Edit tab in the menu bar or Edit component configuration in the context menu (right mouse button).
- Click the Comparator configuration button. The Comparison configuration dialog opens.
- If there are multiple projects in a component, select the appropriate project from the dropdown menu.

Under Exclude lines from comparison, enter the variable and click OK. Variables can use the wildcard * to make comparisons more dynamic.

- In the Comparison configuration dialog, click Apply to save the change.
Note
You can only execute the comparator configuration if a corresponding file (ASCII) has already been stored in the component. The exact file extension depends on the component type comparator configuration.
