Use Case
To create a backup via S7-300/400 with TI-Portal the PLC CPU usually needs to be connected via Ethernet. In some instances the S7-300/400 only have an MPI interface and no ethernet interface. In this case a communication processor can be used to do the routing. The communication processor has an ethernet interface.
